Transport
Most packages will contain a transport element, either money or a car with or without driver.

Many of us will think "give us the car and we'll be o.k." but that can be a bit easy. In some countries driving yourself requires a great amount of skill and courage and the repercussions for mistakes can be severe, particularly for foreigners so if the company offers a driver be very serious about it (if they don't outright insist). Whether you than have a car for yourself or have to share and how (in)convenient that is depends on the situation. Discuss it.

If you are sent with your family 1 car may not be enough, particularly if distances are great. If distances are small and public transport and taxis are convenient you may want an allowance i.o. a car. Think about it and discuss it with you spouse. Even in a 'cheap' country it's still going to cost you to have 2 cars and have to sell them after 2 or 3 years.

In many countries a transport allowance or provided car will be seen as 'income' and will be taxed so check what and what is not included in your salary calculation.

In all cases check about the insurances, are you covered, is your spouse covered as passenger or driver, is there a third party insurance. Boring but you don't want to find it out only after somebody slammed into you.
