Our vision on advertising

XpatXperience is a service provider set up for and by seasoned expatriates. XpatXperience's aim is to give useful, interesting and up-to-date information to professionals living or moving abroad. Furthermore, our aim is to deviate from the cliché information already provided by other websites. We aim to enhance the experience of being an expat by promoting out-of-the-ordinary activities (such as flying lessons, bungy jumping), events (such as special-interest music concerts), services (such as diving trips with marine biologists) and products (such as Swiss meats, Scottish bagpipes)

Why XpatXperience.com?

XpatXperience welcomes an average of 10.000 unique visitors per month. This group consists primarily of soon-to-be expatriates and existing expatriates in Singapore

XpatXperience provides 2 very important marketing opportunities:

  1. XpatXperience has a very specific target audience: Expats. This means that the audience to which you will be marketing your business is very clearly defined. This group usually has an above-average income, consists of an age group between 25 and 55 years old, show interest in the place, products and culture in which they live and want to use the opportunity of being an expat to get as much out of the experience as they can.
  2. Expats have a need. Our entire audience needs a house, a bank account, transport, furniture, English lessons, a maid, hobbies, a social life, moving services, restaurant suggestions, house decorations, travel tips, a mobile phone and more than likely, your product too!

In short: Our audience is a very specific audience with a need for your product and financial means to acquire it.

How much does it cost?

There are many ways in which to charge advertisers. XpatXperience doesn't believe in clicks per thousand or clickthrough rates. It requires reporting and trust, and never yields to anything else but headaches for advertiser and XpatXperience.

Hence, XpatXperience simplified things. Our pricing policy is called "ADAD", or... A Dollar A Day.

XpatXperience charges S$1,- per day per ad per section*. Regardless of amount of exposures, clickthroughs, location or how big/small your company is or size of your banner, advertising on XpatXperience is simple: One dollar per day.

Marketing instead of advertising?

Marketing and advertising are two different things. Advertising is purely raising brand awareness through exposure of the brand, whereas marketing means creating or developing a market for a brand. Advertising is merely an instrument for marketing. Advertising is, however, a very important instrument, since marketing is mainly based on brand recognition. You can't recognise something you see for the first time, so advertising is primarily effective if it is done on a continuous basis. First time advertising means creating brand awareness, continuous advertising means creating brand recognition.
